Which Star Alliance Program should I credit to?
I am AA Platinum (already requalified for 2017) and am now looking to status match into a Star Alliance airline (possibly UA). I am not looking to quality for Exec Plat due to inconvenient AA routes. I fly about 120k miles per year. Majority of my flights are cheap economy ultra-long haul tickets. I will probably end up flying UA. Which FF program should I credit to? Criteria: Lounge access, complimentary extra legroom seats, redeemable miles. I would like to credit to UA but they are stingy with miles. What do y’all recommend? Thanks!
This will be a great post to read to determine the best program to credit to:

If you are going to be flying UA metal and are looking for the benefits of status your best bet is likely going to be UA. Lower mileage is an unfortunate trade off.
Thanks Gaurav and David! I am leaning towards Turkish or UA (since I’m US based and either flying TK metal or UA metal). I have applied for a status match on TK – let’s see if it is successful. The advantage of TK is that I can get UA lounge access even for domestic flights and easier re-qualification.
