Which program to credit miles – Qantas, Asia Miles or Marco Polo
I’m about to embark on a journey with CX Sydney to Phnom Penh via HK return. As a gold QFF – I had intended to credit my miles there, but should I credit them to Asia Miles – which I also have membership of – or should I join the Marco Polo club?
Major domestic travel is on Qantas within Australia for me. International travel is usually to Europe, North America and and Asia, although not always on Qantas. We usually end up on whatever is the best deal combining hard and soft product, cost, and availability. Have membership with all alliances, but only status with One World.
Planned travel in the next 12 months includes to USA, probably with Qantas or CX or United – depending on deals available.
Decision making in these area seems more and more difficult. What should be the priority considerations?
Not expecting a definitive answer – but hoping for some reasoned options.

Hello Stephen
Unless you are planning to shift all your Oneworld flying to Asia Miles/Marco Polo I would credit the miles to Qantas for now. Have a few miles here and there will not help you.
The only time it’s worth to do this is if you are flying on a fare class that earn noting unless you credit it to the operating carrier.
See this website for what different fare class will earn you across alliances.
