Which hotel during long layover at either JFK or MIA?

Which hotel during long layover at either JFK or MIA?

I potentially have a long layover at either JFK or MIA (haven’t decided which route I’m taking yet) are there any airport hotels where I could rent a room from say 6pm until around mid-night?

    Any suggestions?

    Please and thank you.

Miami has a hotel in Terminal E:

I think Lucky has mentioned it in a post or two, but I don’t think he reviewed it.

I can’t recall if JFK has a hotel in or attached to a terminal – but since the terminals are for all intents and purposes separate, which terminal would you be flying in/out of? JFK airport does have this info which seems to imply no on-site hotel:

    Thank you OCTinPHL

We’ll be using Terminal 7 at JFK (British Airways)

It looks like all the hotels at JFK involve taking a shuttle bus to hotels that are nearby rather than in/on-airport-hotels.

    Thanks for your advice.

JFK has no airport hotels attached to a terminal, though one is being built in front of Terminal 5. Yes a shuttle or taxi to a nearby hotel is necessary.
