Where to credit Swiss ticket on AF metal

Where to credit Swiss ticket on AF metal

Hi, I have a ticket booked on Air Canada stock with Swiss as the operating carrier in premium economy. I am Star Gold and UA Platinum. I have been rebooked on Air France in A class (premium economy) by Swiss due to the Swiss flight being canceled. Should I credit my flights to a SkyTeam carrier like Delta or continue crediting to UA as the ticket was issued by Swiss (*A) but the operating carrier is AF (SkyTeam)?

The RDM shows you the number of redeemable miles. The Tier 1/2/3 is if you have premier status with the airline in question.

All the options are listed, but Delta will give you 150% of miles flown, which is not bad at all (well, depending on how long the flight is) and Delta miles don’t expire. If the ticket was expensive you might earn more miles with Flying Blue (4 miles per EUR) but if you don’t have other ways of earning FB miles that doesn’t really help you.

Thanks! I saw that earlier- 8500 miles on AF A class should translate to a tidy 13k miles on DL. I really wanted to credit to UA to help renew status. That’s the reason I bought the ticket to begin with and chose the fare classes on Swiss and Air Canada. Guess we are living in extraordinary times. Was surprised that they didn’t try to put me on a Star Alliance carrier on a different day.

As a follow up, United agreed to provide original routing credit, which was quite generous of them. It helps me quite a bit in my bid to retain status.
