What to do when an online travel agency declines your credit card (Never use Webjet.Com)

So, I booked this flight for my friend earlier through Kayak, and they sent us through a service called webjet.com. Sounded fine enough. But about an hour later, my friend got an email from them saying that my credit card was declined. I’ve been on hold with them for a good 15 minutes, and am severely doubting I will get a rep. If I don’t do anything in the next 24 hours, they’ll charge my credit card $25. What do I do?

Hi Nick, vendors don’t usually make decisions to decline cards. That is made by your issuer based on activity they find suspicious. A ticket booked for someone else might have prompted it. I’d contact your issuer first and let them know it was a valid charge so when the company tries again they will allow it go through. Then call back the OTA and have them run the charge again. Not much else to do really. When you go with the low cost alternative sometimes customer service and response times are not the best unfortunately.

I was able to cancel the ticket for free and just payed the extra $50 dollars to book with the airline. Problem solved.
