what happens if I miss my flight due to Long security line lines associated with the shutdown?
hi Lucky and fellow readers,
I have several flights coming up over the next three weeks. One of my flights departs from the US and connects to five other international flights before I arrive at my destination. If I miss the originating flight in the US, I will end up missing all my flights like a domino and that would not be nice.
I plan on arriving at the airport early in spite of the TSA stating wait times are about normal. This Friday will mark the first paycheck that government workers will miss, so I don’t see the situation getting better until the government can pay its employees.
I booked my tickets using the chase Sapphire Reserve. If I miss my flight due to insanely long wait times at TSA or because flights are arriving late due to lac of Staffing in air traffic control, what coverage or recourse would I have?
Relatedly, if one were to book a near-term trip, what credit card would cover delays due to insanely long lines and wait times at the airport? Or would only travel insurance, Maybe, cover such a situation?
Thanks
What airport are you departing from?
You could always dance 😎
