Value of free night cert from old Marriott Business card

I’ve seen a number of posts on FT that the annual free night certs from old Marriott personal and business cards are only valued at properties up to 25K pts. Do you think Marriott will eventually revalue these to 35K pts? We each have an old Marriott Business card and our free night certs should be posting in November/December.
