Andrew2017 New MemberBooked in business class for a flight on Emirates – any experience/tips on upgrading this to F? I think this can be done using Skywards, but would appreciate any advice.

How did you book the EK award ticket?
This would change your eligibility to upgrade. If you already booked through Skywards, it is pretty simple, but if you booked through different partner like JAL, it may not be as easy. -

You’d have to call JAL to process the upgrade, if there is space. You will need JAL miles in order to do so. Also, I believe JALs program will have you cancel the existing award and book a new award in F.
