Update on access to Concorde room in LHR

Update on access to Concorde room in LHR

About a month ago I posed a question about accessing the Concorde room at LHR while connecting.

I want to report that Tiffany was once again spot on. As a passenger flying into London in BA First, I had no problem entering once I showed them the boarding pass from my arriving flight. I spent about 4 hours in the lounge arriving about 3:30pm and leaving about 7:30 pm

I found the Concorde room to be quite pleasant especially the “outside” lounge area that overlooked the alley way between T5 and the first satellite terminal (gates 30-40). The decor inside looked a bit outdated though. However my biggest disappointment was the lack of any buffet food. Yes there was a nice restaurant area that served a small variety of appetizers and mains, but I could not find any buffet area with snacks, small salads, sandwiches, soups etc all of which I found in abundance in the BA lounge in SFO prior to my departure.

So does BA offer these types of refreshments in their other lounges in T5 in the satellite gate areas. And is there an additional lounge in the main T5 terminal itself besides the Concorde room.

    Thanks
    GBOAC

Nice of you to report back.

As a F passenger or Oneworld Emerald you also have access to the BA Galleries First Lounge

List of all LHR lounges, traveling BA F you should have access to all Oneworld lounges.

Yup, the Galleries lounge (on the same level, past the “spa”) has the buffet. The Concorde Room staff will theoretically bring you anything on the menu or off, but as they typically represent the grand tradition of British “service” that doesn’t usually happen.

Thanks to both Tiffany and NoName for their elaboration.
I wish I had popped into the Galleries lounge to sample it as well.
I’d say the next time but will I ever fly BA first again???
