United Mileage Plus 1k

United Mileage Plus 1k

  1. Anonymous Guest

It’s Dec 24. I’m a United Platinum/ million mile flyer. As of today, I have 99,957 premier qualifying miles & don’t have another flight scheduled this year. Last weekend I flew from COS to Calgary, before checking-in, I called Mileage Plus and asked about buying additional award miles need to achieve 1k status – United employee told me I would accrue over 3,000 miles for the Calgary trip & exceed the 100,000 mile marker – turned out not to be true & now I find myself 43 miles short…I did have a trip planned to Brussels over Thanksgiving, but cancelled due to US Embassy travel advisory…,any advice to best way to achieve 1k?
    Thanks for what you do.

Frankly you best bet might be a short status run. Have you had a looked on Google flights and seen if there are any possible options from where you are based?
