Ultimate rewards help for travel to Greece?

Ultimate rewards help for travel to Greece?

  1. Anonymous Guest

My wife and I are considering going to the island of Crete (HER) this spring/summer. I am specifically wondering how best to maximize chase ultimate rewards points on flights from JFK/EWR (or LOG) to Crete in business or first. I don’t have that many points (200k in ultimate rewards, and 30k more in Starwood points), but would love to be able to travel in a premium class at least to get over the pond. If we have to book a separate intra Europe flight on an alternate carrier to get to Crete, than so be it. Crete offers flights to most major hubs- London, Paris, Frankfurt, Milan, Barcelona- so if I can book premium travel to a hub, I’m comfortable looking for separate connecting flights to Crete (HER).
Any thoughts on maximizing my points for premium travel to Europe?

Hi there–the award maximizer tool might be a good place to start (https://goo.gl/orgtyk). It shows you the mileage you’ll need in each program as well as whether your UR points will transfer. Good luck!

If you can find space on Air France or Alitalia (doubtful at this point, but possible), then a Korean Air award is a great value.

Otherwise United is more expensive than Singapore, but a bit easier to deal with and with lower fees, so I might go that route.
