Ben,
My sister in law got married in Chennai, India. I helped arrange a honeymoon trip to Kathmandu, Nepal. They stayed using Diamond Guest of Honor benefits at the Hyatt Regency there. The stay was fabulous and with all the low fares from Colombo, this may be a good option to explore for a nearby trip report.
