Transiting Ferry Shenzhen (She Kou) to HKG (Central) Do I have time?
We’ll be flying HU from PVG-SZX on a Friday. Our destination is HKG (Central).
Our original plan was to take the ferry from Shenzhen’s She Kou port to the HKG-Macau (Central) terminal. However, I’m concerned that we don’t have enough time to make it happen.
We land at SZX at 1435 on a Friday. The last ferry to HKG departs at 1645.
It looks like we have to get on board an hour before departure. I see that ferry tix can be booked in advance on line but it seems that they must be picked up locally (not at the dock) so that won’t help.
We would taxi from Bao’on airport the SheKou. I’m worried that the taxi queue will be very long and we won’t make it.
If we miss the ferry, we’ll need a plan B from there.
Is the ferry plan a bad one? If so, what is best plan directly from the airport to HKG (central). We’d prefer trains. Shuttles/taxis & buses next.
What could be Plan B from SheKou?
Thanks for the help.
I think you can buy ferry tickets on arrival so go there first and see if you can make the ferry Otherwise, there are probably buses that go from SZX into Hong Kong. Another option is to take a cab or the SZ Metro to either Fu Tian or Lo Wu boundary crossing points and then taking the HK MTR. However, thats going to take a really long time.
