Transit without Visa in Riyadh (RUH)

Transit without Visa in Riyadh (RUH)

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Dear Ben,

Being an aviation enthusiast just as you are, I’m eager to fly on as many airlines and visit as many airports as possible. As of today, it is more or less impossible to get a tourist visa for Saudia Arabia. However, being inspired by your trip JFK-RUH-DXB, I would like to do a transit at RUH. Rules are pretty straightforward: Confirmed onward ticket to a third country for a flight within 12 hours. Because I mostly fly on weekends, I was looking for a Europe-Riyadh-Europe connection to be back home on Sunday evening. Thereby I figured out one could book LHR-RUH-CDG on a single ticket with a stopover of roughly 150 minutes.

What are your thoughts on such a booking? Is there a chance I might face any issues due to the strange routing (denied boarding, questioning at RUH)? And what is the transit process at Riyadh airport?

    Regards
