Transit lounge at SFO

Hi All, love the blog and am a member.

I arrive in San Francisco from Auckland (united) on November 3 transferring onto air Canada to Calgary a few hours later, is there a transfer lounge to avoid the nonsense of entering/departing the us in 7 hours or so?

    Hi John!

Unfortunately there’s no such thing as sterile transit in the United States, so regardless of the port of entry or the duration of your connection, you’ll have to clear US Customs and Immigration, and then security to return to the airport terminal.
