The Chase UR Portal is completely broken/forcing broken fares
Hey All,
There is a severe issue with the Chase UR portal that is bigger then I originally thought. When searching for simple one way business class fares, any flights with a connection will put one leg into economy, essentially breaking the fare. Even though expedia runs the search engine, the Chase UR portal displays different results then just a normal expedia search, so it appears to be limiting what you can actually see. Tricks like booking a multi-city don’t help. The site appears to really limit what you can actually book.
I was trying to book DTW-LAX with a connection on united in business. Even though business class is available on both legs, and United shows it, and expedia, the chase UR Portal will always put one leg in economy and price it out more then what the cost is (it seems like broken fare pricing). That’s even if I can get it to show the actual flights I want.
If you are familiar with reddit, here’s a thread I have going. My Flyertalk thread got merged into a normal Chase UR post that isn’t getting any visibility, but the reddit thread is active and clearly shows mine (and others’) issues we see: https://www.reddit.com/r/awardtravel/comments/9yuyww/chase_ur_portal_forcing_economy_legs_and_fare/
Not fun. Anyone have any other information/thoughts?
