The better choice @LAX, AA Flagship or Oneworld Lounge TBIT

The better choice @LAX, AA Flagship or Oneworld Lounge TBIT

I’m AA Plt/Oneworld Sapphire/AA Admirals Club member and am flying with 2 friends (no status) economy ORD AA LAX QF BNE and am curious to my best lounge option scenario during our almost 5 hour layover at LAX.

We could all hang at the Admirals Club with my 2 guest allowance but probably not the best option.

I bring 1 friend into the AA Flagship lounge (leave him/her there) and head to the Oneworld lounge in the TBIT with the other friend and we both hang there together.

Or reverse option 2 and leave 1 friend at the Oneworld lounge in the TBIT and head back to the AA flagship lounge with the other friend.
Obviously I would like to hang at the best location (amenities/food/drinks), so which is the better facility? AA Flagship or Oneworld TBIT lounge or any other ideas.

    Thanks — Scott

You have access to the Qantas lounge at LAX though I’m not sure what the guest policy is

I believe the Qantas Lounge is limited to Emerald and F passengers.

The lounge @Seat2A is talking about when referring to the Oneworld TBIT lounge used to be the Qantas Business Lounge until 2014, when it was (I believe) rebranded as Oneworld Los Angeles Lounge.

The AA Flagship is probably the nicest of the 3 options. Certainly nicer than the AC. I’ve only been in the Oneworld lounge back in 2014, and it was nice, but crowded. I’ve been in the Flagship two or three times in the last couple of years. The food was much better than the AC (just the buffet, I was not eligible for FF Dining), and the wine much better as well.

That said, I’d want to hang out with both my companions (unless you dislike one of them ;)). Why don’t you all go into the AC, and guest one friend into the Flagship with you. Wait an hour, go back get your other friend, and just walk back in like you both were in there? All in all, I don’t think the Flagship Lounge is worth the extra hassle to get into. I’d choose to hang with my companions if you aren’t eligible for Dining (which you are not).
