Stolen wallet no cash need cash for Kenya visa
Hi I wondered if could ask your advice in a kind of crisis situation – since you have experience of Nairobi airport. My son is travelling to Kenya today and had his wallet stolen at Heathrow just before flew. he therefore has neither cash or cards to pay the visa- if I send him Western Union transfer would he be able to access this from the immigration area. ? or is there a way travel insurance could help in any way? thank you in advancer your help in this catch 22 situation. he arrives 11.30 pm local Time Sunday.

yes he got a kind Italian to loan him £50 – and transferred by paypal thanks

I know that there’s a few ATM’s scattered around the place, but you need the $50USD for the visa. I work at an airline, and I’ve seen travelers denied access into the country because they didn’t have any cash or cards on them. Always thought that it was odd to travel to a country with absolutely no cash, but now I’m assuming your situation isn’t that uncommon. Haha. I’m glad he was able to find somebody to loan him money! And I hope he loves Kenya, it’s one of my favourite countries I’ve ever been to. Such friendly people, beautiful nature, tons of animals, good food.
