yesterday I received a new member exclusive promo by SPG. Apparently they really are somewhat concerned about Plats changing to other chains due to the upcoming merger.
I’m Plat50 and according to the offer receive double stays and nights towards elite renewal between Apr. 1st and June 30th (only fully paid eligible stays, no awards, no cash&points, and if renewal by the ende of the year would only be based on this doubling the year doesn’t count for Lifetime).
I am perfectly fine with that and will actively make use of the promo. I share all of Lucky’s thoughts on and fears about the merger but getting the missing nights for half the price is highly attractive to me. My question would be if there are other ratios out there, (e.g. 2 for 3, triple etc.).
Anyone got a different offer in the same promo?

Apparently they run at least 3 or 4 different schemes which are targeted. In my case I get double nights counting for Plat renewal, others seem to get bonus points (3.000 every 3 stays or 4.000 every 4) or free night awards after 1 or two stays. You might want to try your luck 🙂
