Singapore New Business or Old First?

Singapore New Business or Old First?

  1. bclifford New Member

I will be flying PVG-SIN-SFO and on the SIN-SFO flight, SQ2 via HKG is showing Saver availability for First Class (old F according to seatmap) while SQ16 via ICN is showing Saver availability for Business Class (new J according to seatmap) but not for F (it is waitlisted).

Aside from routing and time of day, would you chose SQ new J or old F? Thanks!

Also, interestingly when I search for SIN-SFO, SQ2 does not show the F saver award availability, but when I add in PVG-SIN-SFO for the same day, the F saver award shows up for the entire trip. Why would that be?

It seems I might be asking the wrong question. From looking at YouTube videos, it seems that the “new” F seats are in the aircraft with 2 F Rows. Is this true?

Is there a difference between the F seat in a 77W with 1 row of first vs a 77W with 2 rows of first?

New J if you don’t mind an equipment swap. It’s not that different from an F seat though service may differ pretty drastically.

One row of F – with premium economy, two rows of F – without.

    Got it, thanks!

Now I’m seeing A380 Suites availability SIN-LAX. So, would you chose 77W New F or A380 Suites?

Flown both, Suites is better, especially with the double bed. Do it.

The suites are exponentially better-looking than the 777-300ER F seats.
