Seat Selection on BA

Seat Selection on BA

  1. Xfinity New Member

    Hello,
I did what I said I would never do-namely get a business class award on BA. When I look at seat guru it gives me 4 plane configurations. Since my flight does not have first, I presume I will be flying on either 777-200 V1 or V2. How can I figure out which of the two it may be so that I can make a good seat selection (well, the best I can make anyway)? Also, I recall reading that first class (which is how I previously flew on BA) gives you free seat selection, but business costs me. Is that correct?
    thanks for any help!

Yes, BA charges for seat assignments in business class – even if you’re connecting from another leg in first! Crazy.

As for which layout, I’d just log into the BA system and see what layout they give you. You could always go through the booking process (up to the point of entering CC info) and see if it’ll display that way.

    Thank you-that was very helpful!

Just be careful. I booked a paid First to LHR and a CW Business returning to MIA.
BA simply deleted my business seat (which was a nice window with rear bulkhead meaning I could exit my seat without tripping over my aisle neighbor) without any email or phone call (they have both on file as Im Emerald OW and have a BA account). When I called and emailed several times, they said there was nothing they could do on their end. “They reserve the right to change seats at any time.”
