Refunds under ADA post CoVid

Hi, I purchased a ticket in United pre-CoVid. United has now cancelled the flight and all the events I was going to attend have been cancelled.
I have some disabilities and have been defined by CDC guidelines as high risk and should not travel for the forseeable future. I don’t want a postponement/credit because I’m sure I won’t be able to travel within a year. How do I get United to give me a refund? They refuse and so does my credit card (not surprising –it’s a United Explorer Chase card) to help me. Any help would be appreciated.
