Refunds from Swiss for passengers covered by Regulation (EC) No 261/2004

Refunds from Swiss for passengers covered by Regulation (EC) No 261/2004

If anyone had their flights cancelled by Swiss and were unable to get a refund given their new illegal policy of simply not processing refunds, I can recommend filing a complaint with the local aviation authority most relevant to your trip.

I filed a report with the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation, based on which they opened an administrative penal procedure against Swiss, after which they finally processed the refund. Took a month or two, but got there in the end and didn’t have to settle for a travel voucher that may not be worth anything if/when they go under..
