Redeeming AsiaMiles on JAL or CX

Redeeming AsiaMiles on JAL or CX

  1. nadmad New Member

Planning annual US-Asia trip for next summer.

Are JAL or CX Business redemption seats very rare? We need 3-4 for mid August Boston – Jakarta using our AsiaMiles (we will be flying against traffic, I guess since students will be flying Asia – USA).

We’ve never redeemed on JAL or CX before so I have no idea what reward seats availability is like on JAL/CX. In the past we have flown SQ or ANA, with ANA seats being more available than SQ.

    Would appreciate any info.

    Thank you.

Assuming August next year. CX has excellent availability via Asia Miles and no surcharge. They make space available 330 days out and again closer to departure. JAL a bit more stingy and you have to call AsiaM for tickets plus surcharge . Log into asiamiles and search. Use flexible dates.
