Receiving miles for booking someone else

Receiving miles for booking someone else

Pretty sure I already know the answer, but if I book a flight for someone else, can I enter my frequent flyer info to receive the miles they will fly?

Similarly, if they booked a flight but do not have a frequent flyer info and don’t care about miles, can I have them enter my number so I would receive miles?

Nope, unfortunately. Some programs allow family pooling though, and there are programs for small businesses to earn points on purchases, but the latter is separate from flight miles.
