Question about United upgrade list t-48 hours from Departure

Question about United upgrade list t-48 hours from Departure

  1. Rohit Deshpande

So as I’m sure you all are familiar that United has an upgrade list that they post T-48 to departure. Looks like the attached image. Does that only show people who cleared in the time that the list has been visible? Aka does it only show the people who cleared T-48? Or does it also show people who cleared prior to T-48?

Curious because my dad and I are flying UA48 in Jan (one of the toughest routes to come by with an upgrade) and we are #2 and #3 on the waitlist for Polaris (checked this by changing date on my iphone and using UA app to check flight status on Jan 11th, try it 🙂 ) so just wanted to gauge if people cleared prior on that route.

He is plat and I’m gold and we are in Premium plus on an A fare on Global Service sponsored upgrades so I’m feeling good about our chances, but at the same time the route we are flying always has a full cabin in our past travel experiences on this route, so wondering if anything opened earlier than what’s shown on that list. Thanks in advance! Cheers!
