Question about transit in DOH

Cal New MemberWe will be arriving and DOH via DXB on EK, but my onward flight will be via QR (on different itineraries). Does anyone know the transfer procedures at DOH? Will we have to clear customs and immigration, grab our checkin bags and then re-check in land side with QR?

If the tickets are on separate PNRs I’d assume you’d have to clear customs/immigration, grab your luggage and re-check it. Hope you have plenty of time set aside for that! Of course when you check your luggage it can’t hurt to ask if they can check it all the way through but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
