Question 1245

Question 1245

    Hi Ben,

I have an AA award booking coming up in business class from DCA > ORD > SEA > YVR > NRT > BKK with JAL on the transcon sectors. I’m not too excited about the angled J seat, so I’m hoping that CX award space opens up in the week before the flight and I’ll route through HKG instead of NRT.

Failing that, I was trying to figure out whether we could do a day-of change and route DCA > JFK > NRT > BKK with JAL, riding on the 777 with the SkySuite product on the JFK > NRT sector. Reading AA’s rules, it sounds like we can just pay a $75 fee for making the change (neither of us have elite status) – is that right? Have you ever heard of that being done with any success?

    Cheers!
