Question 1182

Question 1182

  1. Anonymous

@Lucky – I have a Kenya Airways ticket where the fare rule specifies first change free and $50 for subsequent changes. There has been a schedule change and flight number change on the return leg (now arriving 15 minutes earlier). Unrelated to this, I called to make a date change to travel this week. I am however being charged the $50 date change fee because according to them, the free change was already utilised when THEY made the schedule change. Multiple HUACA yield the same result as it has been documented in the PNR notes that the free change has already been used. Any ideas to get around this?

@ Sean M. — Ouch, that’s really annoying. Especially bad since it seems your record was notated, and now agents are just regurgitating that. Have you tried asking to speak to a supervisor and asking them to tell you which change you supposedly made to the ticket? That’s really annoying. Sorry. :-/
