QATAR Promo, quick gold status.

QATAR Promo, quick gold status.

    Hi!
I received this Qatar promotion (I live in Budapest, Hungary, Eastern Europe, and from the EURPC2018 code it seems like a location-based offer). This says I can get easily to Gold status. Maybe you should create a whole post about it. Especially what my question is, if this also works with OneWorld partners, or not. It would be great if I could earn One World Sapphire status with just a few flights on British Airways or American (those two I use the most from One World)
    Thanks.

That seems to have some very specific qualifiers, so is probably super focused on your geographical area and travel patterns.

If you have travel coming up, it certainly wouldn’t hurt to enroll!

There was a post a few months ago about the massive devaluation to their program though, so even with the nice bonus points, I’m not sure crediting flights to Qatar is still your best long-term bet.

Or you can credit the flights to BA, BUD-DOH-SIN/BKK/what ever in South east Asia earns 560 Tier points. Add 4 economy segments on BA and you reach 600 TP and the requirements for BA Silver which is the same Oneworld status as QR Gold.

Real this deal just offers the same Oneworld status you can earn on BA anytime for about the same amount of long haul flying.
