Qatar Immigration Transit Process

Qatar Immigration Transit Process

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hi Ben!

We have a trip coming up through Qatar Airways and will be transiting in Doha where we have a long layover. Our initial plan is to spend a night in the city and explore the city. We just learned Qatar doesn’t allow visitor with certain medical condition. In this case my partner will not be allowed to enter the country. From reading you blog, it seems that have been in and out Qatar a few times. As of recently that US Citizen will be able to get free visa on arrival, do you know what questions they asked? What is the immigration process? do we have to fill out immigration arrival form? is there any specific question on the form ask about certain medical condition? Have you take a free transit tour? If yes, is the immigration process somewhat easier?

    Thank you for your insight!

Just to clarify, your partner has a medical condition that unfortunately bars him/her from getting a tourist visa? And, you’re asking if immigration typically questions about those conditions?

If I’m understanding your thought process, you’re walking a very slippery slope. Trying to skirt around immigration rules is a quick way to ruin any vacation.

My recommendation would be to enjoy some of the very nice lounges at Doha Airport and not worry about seeing the city 🙁
