Purchase of Airline Gift Cards

Purchase of Airline Gift Cards

  1. Anonymous Guest

Im new to this so this question might seem simple – but does the purchase of an airline gift card count as minimum spend on credit cards like the Chase Reserve Card?

    Thanks

    Dan

    Yep!

As long as you purchase the gift card through the airline itself. If you buy it at a grocery store or office supply store it won’t count. You probably knew that but thought it might not hurt to state the obvious.

Thanks! Actually I didn’t know that buying the cards at a store would not count – but it never occurred to me to buy them in that manner. I would just buy them directly through the airline.

@Dan Allen — to clarify what @MidSouth Skier was saying, they will count as “spend” if you buy them at the grocery store, but won’t code as “travel”.
