Problem changing Lufthansa first booking via Expedia

Problem changing Lufthansa first booking via Expedia

    Hi,

Hoping the collective wisdom here can help me.

I booked three first class tickets with Lufthansa for me and my family earlier this year. Thanks Lucky for pointing out the great promotion they were running at that time! Tickets were booked through Expedia. Due to Covid etc. It looks like the original flight was cancelled. Without ever informing me the ticket has been rebooked three different times. We only found out about this recently getting ready for our trip mid December. I have hotel bookings, inland flights and car rentals depending on the date of arrival so would like to change this.

I have been on the phone with Expedia for the last seven days and for literally over seven hours by now. Lufthansa tells me I should be able to rebook the outgoing flight at no extra cost but this needs to be handled by Expedia and cannot be done by them. Expedia claims changing the date requires me to pay an additional USD 3000 due to the different booking class. Long story short I am not getting anywhere and everybody is pointing at each other. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    JK
