Does the $100 Korean air supplement cover all on same itinerary or is it per person? If all of that is already set up will it be waived?

Hi @Kevin4000, and welcome! We generally charge that per KE account involved, given the complexity of the process and the extra paperwork.

That being said, if you’re savvy enough to be asking here, you probably don’t need paid help. Anyone here would be happy to point you in the right direction if you’re stuck. 🙂

. I’m not really a frequent traveler. I stumbled on to the points/miles game by accident. My wife wanted to drive to Disney world and I wanted to fly. I had to figure out a way to do it for free. I accomplished that feat by getting the delta Amex sign up bonus over a year ago. We are currently planning a trip to Hawaii as a present for my dads 70th birthday. I’m aware of the 25k/45k Korean/delta deal and also the 35k/60k united with krisflyer miles. We definitely want dad to fly 1st class preferably with a lay flat seat. My wife, daughter, and myself would also like to fly 1st class. I currently have roughly 245k chase ultimate points and 60k delta miles. Evv is closest airport(30min) but we are within 3hrs of Nashville, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Louisville, and Cincinnati. Is it even possible to find award space at those levels for 4 people?

Hmm, definitely one of those trips where it’s better to be lucky than good, especially if you want lie-flat seats.

Hawaii is so so so so tough, as I’ve written about before:

I doubt you’ll find four seats at the saver level on the lie-flat routes. You might find one or two. It’s really going to be less about skill in searching, and more about your flexibility with your trip, I think.

If you can get yourself to New York, Hawaiian flies a lie flat now which you could get with Korean miles for 60K RT, so you’d have enough. Of course it would depend on if there’s availability but you have enough Chase points.

@Kevin4000 – what time of year are you hoping to fly? And are you willing to split your group if you can’t enough flat beds on one flight? Maybe some folks fly out of NYC and some out of ATL?

Splitting the party up isn’t really an option. We have 4 adults and 1 child. We only “have” to have 1 1st class seat. We will be traveling sometime between September and early November so we have a little flexibility and time to search. We are willing to pay cash for the 1st class seat if we can get saver coach for 3-4 of our party or cash for coach and use miles for saver 1st class. I know the Korean/delta award is a long shot but the krisflyer/united deal makes good sense also. Ideally we would fly out of evv, route through Chicago on united, then Chicago to Honolulu nonstop or evv to atl to hnl nonstop on delta. Hawaiian new lay flat cabin looks nice also but connecting to a Hawaiian flight might be tough.

I appreciate all the help. I know Hawaii is gonna be tough but I think it’ll be worth it.
