NYC-Beijing in Biz who to fly?

NYC-Beijing in Biz who to fly?

  1. Anonymous Guest

We’re flying to PEK in January (maybe February) and I was surprised to see the only non stop options out of NYC were Air China and United, UGH. Neither Delta nor AA flight direct from NYC? Crazy. The hubby is 1K on United, but hates them and is going to change next year (leaning One World), I hate their cramped narrow seats in Biz and Air China has the same seats. Is it crazy to fly Cathay or EVA and add 7 hours for a more comfortable flight (we aren’t paying)? I was thinking of flying via Japan, but neither JAL or ANA’s business class look great – ANA looks better and they fly a 767 from Tokyo to PEK which beats JAL’s 738. Any thoughts on the best way to go? And by best I mean best seat. Thanks for any help/thoughts!

Korean air JFK-ICN-PEK is a good option. EVA’s JFK-TPE is very good. I have flown that in the past. Cannot comment on JAL much.

KE and BR are both great options. I’d look into OZ as well but of all the airlines you listed, CX is probably the best option for a J seat and there are decent CX lounges in HKG
