Norwegian not showing flights past Oct?
Hi Travel Guru!
My wife and I are late bloomers and are just starting to travel overseas. The only way we can afford it, is to plan and save far in advance, and to “pay as we plan” To that end, we book and pay for our flights, well in advanced.
This year, I noticed that Norwegian on shows flights from LAX – FCO until Oct 2019? No flights past that date.
Is this normal…or would they cancel this popular route? I’ve asked the airline, but I get the old “we don’t comment on routes”.
TIA!
I think it’s seasonal service that ends in late Oct. They’ll probably announce whether its coming back next spring in a few months.

HHmm…you would think a route from LAX to Rome would be a year-round flight?
Odd…I hope that’s it, though. Thanks for replying.

Perhaps there is too much competition? Or not enough high margin traffic (though Norwegian is a LCC). The reality is Norwegian believes it can better utilize the plane elsewhere:

”Ten current year-round routes will become summer-only, reflecting lower winter demand, with the aircraft redeployed to more profitable long-haul routes elsewhere in the company’s network. The routes will not operate over winter 2019-2020 but “might return” for winter 2020-2021, the airline said.”
Excellent information. Thanks!!
