No Upgrade with old valuation for AA

No Upgrade with old valuation for AA

Even though I was told by 3 separate agents prior to the devaluation, you are not able to upgrade from business to first using the old mileage chart. I just tried to do this and was told it has to be from the new chart. A very nice AA supervisor even tried to override the system so I would pay the old difference to no avail. Thus, it is impossible to upgrade using the old chart for reservations made before the devaluation. I know there is different info on this floating around so I wanted to let everyone know what the truth is. Best.

@TKH — Ouch, sorry you were misinformed! We were never expecting to be able to upgrade or do anything that would cause the tickets to reprice without using the new chart. Sorry about that 🙁
