No more awards on CX Tokyo to Hong Kong using Alaska Miles?
Hi Lucky,
Why is there no more Cathay flight awards available flying from Tokyo to Hong Kong on the British search engine within one week? Does this mean it’s not available either for Alaska miles? And even after one week, it seems there are barely any flights when previously the route was widely available
oneworld award space to and within Asia is incredibly limited through the end of March, as so many people rushed to use their American miles.
Beyond that, flights might be full (or close to full), so the airline might not be releasing award inventory. These things can be cyclical, but also definitely frustrating. 🙁
Also, I think BA stopped displaying award space for CX flights within a week of departure.

Try to use JL/QF to search for award space, or call AA/AS to see if they can find award seats. If all those airlines dont come up with anything, space is probably just not there, for the reasons @Tiffany stated.
