Nexus fee reimbursement?

Nexus fee reimbursement?

  1. Anonymous Guest

I am aware of many of the premium cards offering Global Entry/Pre-check. Have you heard of any ways to get the Nexus fee covered? Should I use the CSR card for this?

No existing credit card reimburses the fee, though is cheap, at $50.

I dont know if it codes as travel. You might be better off charging it to a card that gets you a bonus on everyday spend, like the freedom unlimited or amex everyday cards.

Just renewed my Nexus (got the approved email today!) and charged both mine and my wife’s renewals to the CSR and no rebate of the fee. Thought about emailing to inquire, but got too lazy and didn’t. $50 is great to get Global Entry with Nexus and the expedited lanes into Canada (plus benefits of shorter security lines and expedited entry in Canada). Best part is I don’t have to do the interview this time!

It’s not global entry so chase wont reimburse but did it code as travel and earn you 3x? No, right?

Correct…. figured they wouldn’t reimburse but thought I’d give it a shot. Did not code as 3x travel either. Pay line was US Customs/Trusted Traveller and only 1x points. Just to clarify, with Nexus we also get Global Entry membership so can use the kiosks when entering the US. Also get to use the expedited Nexus lanes for entry to Canada, both driving across the border and flying into Canada. We use it 2-3x per year via air and another 4-5x per year driving.

Yeah, I know Nexus includes GE and TSA PreCheck. I wish I got it. I’m too far from any Nexus location.
