My flight to YYZ on SV has been cancelled and the airline isnt helping
Long time reader, first time poster here! 🙂
I had booked a cheap ticket ($610) on SV from Lahore to Toronto RT in September however, due to the ongoing issue, all SV flights to Canada are cancelled. I have been trying to reroute the ticket via their call centre but that doesnt seem to be working either:
I called 5 days ago and they rebooked me on TK for the same dates, however they didnt issue the TK PNR or ticket number and after waiting 4 days, they cancelled it. One reason for them cancelling it I believe was that they booked the return in J whereas my original ticket was in Y.
I called again yesterday and they said that I can either get the ticket refunded or rerouted if a flight opens up. I got a cooperative agent who booked me back on the same TK flights but this time all were in Y. He is saying tha I should wait for 2 days in order for it to ticket, however given that my previous flight on TK was also cancelled by them, I am reluctant to believe them. My tickets on SV were in fareclass T whereas on TK there are in fareclass Y. Do you think this time they will approve the ticket due to the fareclass difference?
Long story short, is there anything I can do in particular to convince them to reroute as I do not want a refund? All revenue tickets are now twice as much ($1200+). Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
