MasterCard trip delay/interruption

MasterCard trip delay/interruption

  1. Anonymous Guest

Yesterday I called to cancel my Prestige card and was told by a Citi rep that trip delay/cancellation benefits were only terminated on the Citi side, but the same benefits are still available directly through MasterCard. So he essentially said Citi saw it as unnecessary to have duplicate benefits, and also not to worry, because Mastercard World Elite Cards have this coverage. I can’t find any data points on this.

There are a ton of benefits listed directly on Mastercard website (https://www.mastercard.us/en-us/consumers/find-card-products/credit-cards/world.html) but nothing that seems to be trip delay/cancellation benefits.

Did the rep you spoke with reference anything specific?
