Marriott Travel Certificate Question

Marriott Travel Certificate Question

  1. MikeW New Member

Hi All – I purchased a Cat 8 travel package before the merger, and attached it to a reservation at Ko Olina (now a cat 6). My going in assumption was that I could change the dates on the reservation without any issue, but am being told by Marriott now that if I change the reservation at all, it will cause my certificate to be downgraded to the new Cat 5 (along with a 30k point refund). Pretty disappointing in this, and just wondering if anyone has found a workr-aound to this?

    Thanks!
    Mike

Hi Mike, there are a ton of data points on this FlyerTalk thread, I’d recommend browsing through. You can use the search function on your browser to look for key phrases, if that helps get through 55 pages of comments!
