Nice to hope but that’s a pretty vague article without any indication of Marriott sources. It seems more like wishful thinking than any kind of real indication that the deal will fall through.

Also highly unlikely Chinese regulators will actually stop it. If anything a couple of Starwood properties in PEK or PVG may have to be divested, but that was likely to happen anyway.
