Manufactured Spending Gone?
Been doing this for some years now. I got in on the treasury coins and racked up tons of miles. Then the Bluebird reloads using MetaBank VISA gift cards for a bit. Did that for over a million+ miles. Enjoyed the free fights and hotels for a long time. All of those and many more now shut down and not available for card churners like me.
Today, I made a full court press in my area (East Bay California). I tried WalMart, Target, Safeway, two liquor stores, and even (ugh!) payday cash advance store trying to convert my MetaBank VISA Gift Card (Debit on the front also). All were denied. Yikes!!!
Do you have any suggesting of what really works. Those posts listing articles written at the beginning of 2016 are of no value now.
Please advise. Thank you.

@jgeorge711 MS is highly dependent on geography. There are still avenues open although you are right, they are slowly drying up. I would recommend trying to connect with a Flyer Talk or other MS group in your area to find the best possible strategy.
Welcome @jgeorge711 – in addition to Gaurav’s suggestions, Frequent Miler still does occasional posts on MS. Ariana at PointChaser.com is in the Bay Area as well and does quite a bit of MS at Wal-Mart so I’m surprised to hear you had a hard time there. But maybe you can contact her to get more region-specific info. Good luck!
