Lufthansa/Star Alliance Lounge Access – Tampa/TPA

Lufthansa/Star Alliance Lounge Access – Tampa/TPA

I am flying TPA-FRA next week in Lufthansa Business Class and I’m trying to figure out whether I will be given access to a lounge, or will otherwise have lounge access through my Priority Pass membership. If not, I won’t plan to arrive early. Does anyone know? Thanks!!!

I am flying TPA-FRA on Lufthansa next week, and this will be my first time flying in their business class. I am traveling alone and am looking for some insight into seating – specifically, whether it’s better to have a window seat (I like window seats) or a seat in the middle. Typically, I’d prefer a seat with direct aisle access, but from what I’ve read, the middle seats are pretty awkward on Lufthansa. Is there any room to walk around your seatmate’s fully-reclined seat if you’re in a window seat, or are you definitely leaping/crawling over him/her? Any input is much appreciated. 🙂

Priority Pass doesnt seem to have any participating lounges at TPA and I don’t believe LH has any agreements with TPA lounges for business class passengers.

In a window seat, you will have to climb over the person next to you to get out, there is no where to walk around them if they are fully reclined. If having direct aisle access and not having anyone climb over you is most important, choose a seat in the middle.

I’ve flown LH in both the old and new business class formats, flying solo both times. I was on the aisle on the side section with the old format and had to allow my seatmate to climb over. When flying with the new seats I was in the center section and liked that much better. I didn’t notice an issue about bumping legs with my seatmate but then we napped at different times. Both trips were Europe-US so were daytime flights.
