Long layover is IST

Long layover is IST

I am flying through IST with a 9hr layover on Business class on my way to JNB. I am checking major luggage but am wondering how feasible it is to arrive, make use of the arrivals lounge, move to the regular lounge and store some carry-on luggage in a locker (which I read are available) then leave the airport for a short visit in town and return to recover my bags catch the connecting flight? I am quite familiar with the logistics of getting to town and all but am unfamiliar with the logistics of the airport and storing luggage in IST.

Are you all on one ticket? If so, your bags should already be checked thru to JNB when you first check in at your origin airport. You dont need to worry about your checked bags at all.

I’m not sure about leaving your carry on in the lounge but IST should have paid storage facilities for use.
