Korean Air Partner Search
Have you all been able to make the new Korean Air Partner award search work? Im finding availability on Delta/AF website for a lot of September for one person in business and yet Korean is showing me nothing for the month. Similar results for Alitaltia and KLM.
The website is supbar so i’m guessing it is just going to require me to call in to ticket but was wondering if anyone had tips for making the online system work.
I have been able to make a few random test routes show up for the most part i get the no flights available message on 95% searches.
Dan are you searching the DL website for DL seats? If so just be aware that airlines make additional award space available for their own members that may not be bookable by partners. If partners can see space, for e.g. if AF can see DL space then KE should be able to book it. If you can’t see it online you’d have to call unfortunately.
The problem most likely is that you must book round trip partner rewards with KE, so if the dates you enter for the trip don’t both have available flights you get the error. Having said that, most of what I’ve searched for returns a result.
I would hope they build in a calendar view similar to the KE searches to eliminate this problem, or have a flexible date solution.
I can confirm you have to call Korean. The Delta award search option is pretty much useless. For example, try getting Delta to even price out a non-stop flight on KLM or AF IAD-AMS/CDG in September 2017. I cant even get a mileage quote. I called Korean Air they do have more availability than Delta but less than on the AF or KLM website. I have not been able to figure out what inventory Korean is looking at thought.
