KLM Promo Awards and Covid 19 Change Policy
I have a question regarding KLM’s change policy amid Covid-19. We booked a Promo award back in January with a scheduled departure date of late April. According to their FAQ page, we should be eligible to change our flight online because our ticket starts in 074 and departs prior to April 30. I’m a little confused as why we can’t do this online, but I’m guessing it is tied to the fact it is an promo award ticket. I am a little concerned that they will just refund me my miles and leave me high and dry instead of just changing the flight (this was a Business Class Award). I’ve reached out via social media and just received the canned response directing me to the FAQ page. I’m guessing next steps would be the call center, but I’m guessing that would be a cumbersome process. Hoping you could perhaps provide some insight or thoughts from experience!
