ITA matrix itineraries not found

  1. Rohit Deshpande

so I use ITA matrix to look up all my flights, and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. What i mean is this. I found a super cheap ticket from point A to point B on SQ as per ITA matrix. I go to SQ’s website and sure enough it’s there. But I did the same route but different dates and SQ’s website has it more expensive than what was shown on ITA matrix. So my question is this: when a price is found on ITA, does that mean it’s there somewhere on the internet, but not necessarily on the airline’s website? Or is some of the results just “phantom data”? I hope one of you guys understands what I’m trying to say. Thanks and I can clarify if I confused anyone.
