Is this a deal?

Is this a deal?

Hello Lucky and others. Last night we found this deal from BBK to PEK on Malasia Airlines.

On Business Class for $265 . (Going for AA Ex. Plat for the 2019) . Then reading I understand the EQD
earned this year apply for next year ? I need to book this with Malasia Air but wanting to know if this is a good deal and how many EQD I would earn on this.

My thought was for my family to fly to BKK and make a few trip on this route to get us ahead on EQD. This is very confusing still. THanks.

Jason, it’s hard to say if it is a deal without knowing what the usual prices are for the route. With regards to EQD earning AA just released revised charts (https://www.aa.com/i18n/travel-info/partner-airlines/malaysia-airlines.jsp). As you can see you’ll still earn at least 100% redeemable miles but only 20-25% EQD so check the flight distances and plan accordingly.
